Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)
Star Trek: The Next Generation follows from the Star Trek: The Original Series show. However, Star Trek TNG has been dubbed as the better of the two due to its characters and storyline. If you are trying to compare it to a show today, some compare its popularity and well written story line to Game of Thrones. The show is about the adventures of a starship and its exploration of the milky way galaxy.

The Golden Girls (1985-1992)
If you ever wonder why Betty White is loved by a lot of people, look no further than The Golden Girls. This show centres around the friendship and lives of four eldery women living together. The reason this show was so popular was because of the comedy and the fact that most shows did not have people of an elderly age being the stars of a show.

Married…With Children (1987-1997)
Married…with children depicts the life of a man married with two kids who tries to better his life. However, this is no ordinary family; the wife lives an expensive lifestyle which they can barely afford, their daughter is beautiful yet dumb, and their son is a smart but not so attractive person. This show is bound to have you laughing. This is a show you can watch with your family as it is family friendly. Please remember though that Al Bundy may not be the best example of an emotionally intelligent dad.

Miami Vice (1984-1989)
Miami Vice is full of culture and the lifestyle that was present in the 80s. From music, to fashion and the general lifestyle of the 80s, Miami Vice perfectly captures this era.The show is about two undercover detectives making an impact on crime in Miami, Florida. If you were young in the 80s, chances are you haven’t seen this show (not kid friendly!). However, now is the time to check out this amazing tv show!
