Daddy’s Digest was fortunate enough to be gifted with several care packages from www.GourmetGiftBaskets.com
A gifting company that started with family
Gourmet Gift Baskets was founded in 2002. After working in his family’s flower shop, President & CEO Ryan Abood naturally realized an opportunity to provide handmade, high quality gift baskets. What began with two family members in the basement of a flower shop has exploded into the multi-million dollar company today.
First impressions
The baskets arrive in a low key mailer emblazoned with the company’s logo. Not impressive at first, until you open it. Inside is a beautifully presented gift box or basket containing all kinds of delectable goodies.
I was generously sent four of their many, many gift package options.
Naturally, the first two were for the kids (ID 1299, and 5681.) While not specifically gendered, it was pretty clear that one of the packages was more geared toward boys and the other was geared toward girls. Having two six year old boys, they didn’t seem to notice or care. Each package contained a small plush animal (Unicorn for the girls and Tiger for the boys), a handful of small toys and enough sweet treats to keep the fellas bouncing off the wall for a few hours. All of this is presented beautifully in a sturdy reusable bucket.
The more adult box that we received was their Just for You! Enjoy Box (ID 5612) which included everything you need to make a tasty homemade guacamole, just add tequila fresh margarita mix, a selection of two higher end cheeses and was rounded out by some crackers and tortilla chips. All of this was presented in a lovely gift box emblazoned cheerfully with the words Just For You!
My favourite gift baskets
My favorite of the boxes that we received was their Haunted Halloween Gift Tower (ID 6880). This box included three adorable boxes in the shape of spooky books which not only contained a plethora of sweet and salty treats, but also made for wonderful Halloween decor. The treats inside included such festive favorites as marshmallow pumpkins, gummy worms, a chocolate candy bar, cotton candy, sweet and salty caramel corn and for those of you who are truly weird enjoy that sort of thing…candy corn.
This makes me feel like the Christmas and other holidays baskets would be incredible!!! (and when I check them out on the website, I definitely think they look great….especially this jumbo snack one, or any of the beer baskets!)
Overall Feedback
The website is easy to navigate and there is a huge variety of baskets that are sure to delight no matter what the occasion.
There is no denying the wonderful presentation and convenience GourmetGiftBaskets.com provides. These boxes make an easy gift and knock it out of the park in terms of presentation.
Quality and Cost come hand in hand
But this does come at a cost. The cost of the gift baskets we received to review ranged anywhere from $49.99 to $79.99 plus shipping which can seem like a lot for what is included. However, the website does offer a 10% discount off of your first order which can take a little sting out of that cost. The larger baskets at higher price points definitely offer more bang for your buck!
All and all these gifts make for an impressive package that anyone would be touched to receive. The convenience of their creative curation matched with the ease of ordering make GourmetGiftBaskets.com a great option for those special people in your life.
