If you’re like me going to sleep is not a 5-minute job. The quiet moments before slumber hits are when my mind decides to go over life’s most mundane AND important things. Lucky me, this has only become worse since I became a mother. I envy people like my husband who, as soon as their head hits the pillow, fall asleep. What is your secret and why aren’t you sharing!?
Here is just a small sample of what LITERALLY keeps me up at night.
- Thank God today is over.
- I forgot to put the laundry in the dryer
- How can I get out of Sunday Family dinner?
- I shouldn’t have had that last glass of wine.
- Why can’t I fit into my favorite pants anymore?
- I could REALLY go for a poutine right now.
- Why did she have to say it like that?
- I hope he will be potty trained in time for kindergarten.
- I can’t believe I said that during my gr. 8 grad dance.
- Aliens.
- Did I change her diaper before bed?
- I need to buy milk tomorrow.
- What was that sound?
- Doctor appointment on Tuesday.
- Am I likeable?
- If I place a pillow over husband’s face maybe he would stop snoring?
- Is there such thing as eating too much cheese?
- The butterfly effect.
- I need to cut down screen time.
- What am I doing with my life?
- Dammit! She woke up!
- I need to start drinking more water.
- Why hasn’t he learned to write his name yet?
- If I fall asleep now I can still get 6 hours of sleep.
- Did I close the garage?
- Am I a good mother?
- Oh. So, there is such thing as too much cheese.
